HOW DO I CARE FOR MY BEAK SHOES?

Treat the shoes a few times a year. Don’t use to much grease at once, it’s better to apply a thin layer mutiple times. The lubricant is transparent.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE BEAKS BLÖTNÄBBEN AND BYNÄBBEN?

Blötnäbben is a neater shoe with thin soles and shanks, more of a spring and autumn shoe. Bynäbben on the other hand is a stable boot with heavier sole for winter.

WHAT'S THE SOLES OF THE SHOES?

– The beaks has a cell rubber sole. The slipper Kilatoffeln has an EVA-midsole & Snötass/Sotnäbb-shoe has a “moreflex” Vibram sole.

WHAT DOES NATURAL TANNING MEAN?

-All our leather products are made of naturally tanned leather, that means that the tanning substances comes from the nature. Advantages of the natural tanned leather is that the leather breathes and is completely free from heavy metals such as chromium.

WHAT COLOR IS USED WHEN DYEING THE LEATHER?

– It’s the same color as for clothes dyeing.

WHY DOES THE SHOE HAVE A BEAK?

– Back in history people in our region used the beak shoes when skiing. The beak served as ski-fastening.

DO I NEED TO GET A SIZE UP TO MAKE PLACE WITH THICK SOCKS?

– To the thicker beak shoes we recommend taking a larger size if you want to fit soles and knitted socks.

WHAT SIZE IS A REINDEER SKIN?

– Approximately 10 sq.ft = 80 * 110cm

HOW BIG IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE DIFFERENT SORTS OF THE SKIN?

– First sorting is flawless. Second sorting has some small cosmetic defects. Third sorting has defects such as holes and stains.

Delivery time 5-10 working days. If any item is out of stock we’ll contact you by email with updated delivery information.

AGREEMENT TERMS AND PURCHASE SECURITY

Swedish VAT is included in our prices for private costumers. VAT is recalculated in the checkout if you order to other countries. (One Stop Shop – OSS VAT for private costumers in EU, and VAT is removed if you order from outside of EU)

The shipping cost is 75 SEK for deliveries in Sweden. For deliveries outside Sweden an extra charge is added in the checkout.

If return/cancellation of an item, the original shipping is not refunded.

Cash on delivery

Deliveries in Sweden are also subject to the postal COD charge, currently SEK 75. Orders with delivery adress outside of Sweden is not due to the service of COD.

CARD PAYMENT (E-PAY)

COD charges are avoided if you pay by card in the webshop. For deliveries outside Sweden we reserve the right to add a charge for freight costs.

Transport

We cover transport insurance during delivery. You can have your order sent as a business parcel (Företagspaket) if you wish, with a surcharge based on the current postal rate. Private customers are covered by the purchase conditions in consumer legislation, a copy of which accompanies the delivery.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE ITEM

Information about the product and its properties can be found on the product pages in the webshop as well as in the product description that accompanies certain products. The pictures in the shop may differ slightly in colour from the actual product. If you are uncertain about the product features, please contact us. Non-corporate customers are covered by the purchase conditions in consumer legislation, a copy of which accompanies the delivery.

Corporate customers are covered by Kero’s General Terms of Delivery for Corporate Customers, a copy of which accompanies the delivery. A one-off charge of SEK 150 is made for order cancellations.

Exchange of goods

If you wish to exchange any item, fill in the return note and attach it when returning the item.
If return/cancellation of an item, the original shipping is not refunded.

COMPLAINT

Should there be anything wrong with the goods delivered we will naturally refund the cost of return postage. Contact us at [email protected] for shipping information. Pack the goods well and send them as a normal parcel – not cash-on-delivery.

Kero ensures that the payment options offered through the web shop is secure. For payment transactions we cooperate with ePay Payment Solution.

PCI DSS stands for Payment Card Industry Standard Data Security Standard is a standard for handling card information developed by the international card networks MasterCard and Visa.

Shoe care

We recommend leather lubricant for heavy boots and our peaked shoes. Leather grease should be used at room temperature, not heated. Dampen your shoes slightly with water and take a dollop of leather lubricant, ideally in your hands, and rub it into the leather. The reason for impregnating damp shoes is that the grease forms a protective skin without soaking into the leather.

Leather care

Our products should be treated with lubricant/cream before use, and should be retreated at least twice per year. We recommend leather grease (leather lubricant) for our Sámi-style peaked shoes and other heavy boots; this is available through our webshop and catalogue. For other leather products including slippers, bags and backpacks we recommend Leather Masters leather protection cream.

Repurchase

Money back. You have a 14 day right of return and exchange on your order. You may either exchange the goods or receive a refund. The cancellation of a purchase on correct grunds is refunded to the customer within 30 days from the date we received the order. You’ll have to pay for the return freight.

DOES THE LEATHER DISCOLOR?

Beak shoes in colors like red and black can discolor when wet. We recommend to use dark socks for new shoes.
